Boredom 2

Part 2

(I'm loving this lamp's lightning! Never realized how nice it is untill now. FAIL)

Boredom 1

Boredom effect. Part 1.

Storm

It's storming. It's agressive and the wind is the strongest I've ever seen. Anyway... I'm so bored I just want to yell at everything! Got my camera, took some pictures. Nothing great, it's just to pass time.

What do you do when you're bored? Any ideas? Anything you can teach me about photography that makes time fly? HELP!

Christmas II

Wishing you a Merry Christmas!

(About the photo: taken in a RAW format. That's actually the first time I got the time and patience to experiment this format. How stupid was I!? We can clearly see the diferences.... Anyway, I learnt my lesson.)

Christmas

Awww... how nice is it to start a new post with a pretty image of a nice sunrise. It was taken last 15th, whille I was getting ready to go to class. Lisbon.

Anyway, let's get started!
Yesterday I arrived my hometown (Praia da Vitória, Azores) for Christmas, and I can't feel happier! (Obviously) It's so so sooo nice to be around the family and to smell that characteristic "family home" smell, always so good.
My Christmas tree is smaller than last year, but it still looks nice and fresh and cute! Take a look.

That's it for now. Sorry for the boring random stuff... I just felt like posting something nice. I'm still hoping for new photos.

Picture taken this afternoon. Me, my godson and cousin Rodrigo, and my uncle Vitor, trying to figure out how to work with my cellphone xD

70-300mm

Presentiiiiiiiiing my new object from my wishlist! (how I love wishlists...)
I finally got my new lens! Sigma FTW!
So... it's a Sigma 70-30mm f4-5.6 Macro, I bought it yesterday, and it's only been one day but I'm loving it! I actually watched some reviews about this one on YouTube, and got impressed. The macro option = LOVE. It's amazing... I can shoot closer with a few feet away from it. The zoom is pretty satisfying, good enough to shoot the moon with a lot of new details. I can't wait! =D

Got myself a new self-portrait with the new lens, for celebration. I shot it against the mirror, with the remote control, and then I inverted it, to look like as if someone was taking my picture. It's taken with the new lens ^^
Oh and I curled my hair a little bit in the front, with my new hair straightener and also curler. It's pretty good.

Here are some pictures from the lens itself, taken by me, in my homemade little photo studio. I made it to have some fun with macro. I'll post more pictures later.

And here's the Nikon D80 equiped with the 70-300mm.

three objects

So... there's a LOT of new stuff I must write down before I forget, since it's been some very productive and nice couple weeks. My mom came to stay for a week! yaaay

I just got at least 3 new objects from my wishlist! yaaaaaayyy And hopefully heading up to 4! I love having my birthday a month before Christmas, a month full of happiness. (all photos taken by myself)

The first thing I got instantly was the last book from the Twilight Saga "Breaking Dawn". Yeap... I read it, and I seriously don't give a s#&t about what you think about it. At least I'm not a movie and character freak, like the actual 16 and 17 year old world population. Sorry. No time to explain myself and I don't have to. =)

The nest thing was "Mirror's Edge" and it's AWESOME! The only thing that bugs me out is that after like 20 or 30 minutes playing it, I start to get a bit nauseous. Tiago says it's probably because it's so bright, and the colors are too vivid. And yes, there's some action too, which makes the camera turn around a lot and stuff... Anyway, it never happened to me. I was starting to think I was getting epileptic issues or something similar. Yeck! Hope not... I've been playing Left4Dead 2 and didn't happen. It can only be the brightness.

Faith is THE girl.

The next, final and great thing I got was my new Canon printer! It's soooo efective, I love it! The quality of the printed photos is absolutly amazing, I couldn't stop printing random photographs lol it's insane.

All this thanks, particularly, to my mom ^^

Enough of personal wishing, materialistic stuff. My photography is clearly in stand-by, but it doesn't anoy me at all. I just feel like I've got a lot going on (or nothing at all), and I just don't feel too inspirational. Christmas hollidays are comming = going back to my hometown = new pictures, hopefully ^^
